A brand new regular night organised by the Art House in Southampton, ‘Green Fridays’, is starting on Friday 9th May from 7.30pm.
Green Fridays will happen on the second Friday of each month and is dedicated to helping people feel as though they can do something about green issues…. come along to the first one to hear Graham Cole talk about ‘Stock Free Organics’.

‘Pure Gold?’ is CAFOD’s new photographic exhibition which reveals the truth behind the glamour of gold through striking images and accounts from three continents.

The Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser will discuss the importance of sustainability in the face of global challenges such as population growth, economic expansion and climate change, at the University of Southampton on Thursday 1st May 2008 in the Nightingale Building, Highfield Campus, University of Southampton.
There are ‘groovy’ times ahead for some of Southampton’s parks and community gardens. Groups of labyrinth-makers are planning to recreate this ancient symbol in the turf across the city over the summer.
Southampton Sustainability Forum is co ordinating a pilot clean-up weekend called ‘Concrete Conservation’ in Portswood and in the Polygon this June to tackle rubbish and unwanted items before they are dumped by students at the end of their tenancy - and they are looking for local people to lend a hand.
