“We need to move from ‘I will if you will’ to ‘I have, now you can’”. This was the message of Environment Secretary Hilary Benn at the launch in April of the free Act on CO2 Advice Line (0800 512012) designed to help the public reduce their carbon footprint, save water and reduce waste.

The advice line is part of a package of measures which includes green makeovers for up to 100 neighbourhoods, and the introduction of the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target scheme to encourage energy companies to help customers switch to low-carbon. “Transforming our country together will be a lot easier than if we pretend we’re doing this alone,” said Benn.

Southampton has it’s very own energy advice centre based at the Environment Centre, talk to expert Energy advisors to find out how you can make your home more energy efficient and save energy and money!  0800 512 012
